John Tyler and Kailee were very, very sick on John Tyler's birthday. In fact, we went to the doctors that morning for the first time ever for a sick visit. We have taken the kids for check-ups and shots multiple times but this was the first time we ever had to take them because they were sick. It was traumatic for John Tyler. He wouldn't let the doctor touch him. I literally had to hold him down while she did a very quick check. She was wonderful and fast! I love living in a small town because while I held John Tyler down the nurse and the receptionist took Kailee and played with her outside of the room. Whoever heard of that? It made it sooo much easier for me! The ended up having to take antibiotics because John Tyler had 2 ear infections and Kailee had a lot of stuff in her lungs.
We decided to celebrate his birthday on a day when he could really enjoy it, but at about 8pm J.C couldn't wait any longer and pulled out his birthday gift. John Tyler loved the new tractors! If you look closely, you can see John Tyler's red cheeks...he still had a very high fever.
