First day of trip

The first day of our trip, we flew into a sattelite airport of Milan. Top avoid the extra airport location fee, I booked our car to be picked up in the town center near the airport (Bergamo). We eneded up getting there when the office was closed. I got a little bit of help from a mechanic out back and we called the number on the door, which happened to be the number to the Airport location. After an hour's wait, a very nice lady pulled up on the busy road and got out of our rental car. Where had she brough it from? The airport! This is where all the cars are stored, but they charge you less to pick it up in town. But it actually costs us more in time and bus fare and it costs them more interms of sending an employee, etc. We still saved about 30 Euros, but what a mess that policy is! It was good to be there in the sun though. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed feeling the spirit of a truly Italian city. John Tyler and I just played together on the sidewalk as we waited. I didn't get a good picture of it, but we were standing on a manhole cover which he absolutely loved. It was a little loose-fitting and rocked back and forth. I would rock it and make the noise and John Tyler would come over and stand on it to test it out as well. We did that for probably fifteen minuted before he got bored.
