We only got into Paris in the afternoons of both days for some unforeseen reasons. We were tied to the hotel in the mornings and missed most of the daylight. It wasn't too bad though because it was raining during the day anyway. In fact, the night we got there it was snowing for a few hours. But, thankfully we met up with Zannah and she happily directed us around the city. She gave us a personal tour with a lot of historical background to everything we saw. It was nice not to walk around looking at stuff wondering what we were seeing. This picture is of us in front of the backside of Notre Dame. I has to use a car to steady the camera becuase I forgot the tripod. That is why John Tyler's head is all that is showing.
She also took us to (I presume) one of her favorite Ice-Cream stops. They had some fairly good fruit sorbets. I had a pear scoop and a praline ice-cream scoop as well. Afterward, Beki got her wish of seeing an accordian man playing on the bridge between the ice-cream shop and Notre Dame. I wish we had gotten another picture on the bridge but all the better because it would embarrass Beki. I saw a boat approaching closely and took advantage of the frigid but romantic atmosphere. I swept her off her feet and smooched her for all the bost to see. Suddenly we experienced a rush of love and affection as all the passengers cheered loudly for me and my suavidad.
As always, John Tyler enjoyed his dessert as well. I don't know if he realized it, but he didn't actually get any ice-crem in his cone. We did try to share, but he was happy enough with his own little sugar cone to much on. Britt and Jeb, Thanks again for the cap and gloves - lifesavers.
